What I love, thoughtful, and fitness! An accumulative post!

So I've been having so many tech issues it's insane but I'm here now and have some awesome stuff to share! I'm loving the fall vibe that's beginning to fill the air and the subtle changes in wardrobe and slight change in weather. Each morning is a little cooler and the breeze a little crisper and we are getting rain every night. Also the change in the horses is becoming more and more obvious as they seem to be having more and more energy everyday.

So for what I love Wednesday I threw some fall photos together just since I'm in such a fallish mood just seeing apples and leaves makes me happy. Then I found those photos of Leighton Meester and Blake Lively and they just remind me so much if my best friends A and M and I. I'm brunette and they are blonde so it just reminded me of us even more. Seeing that did make me a little sad but A is coming to visit next weekend so that keeps me looking up (: then the cute little Starbucks drawing that says "no amount if coffee can wake me up like you do" for a coffee girl that's a pretty big statement haha! The Kate Spade picture is too cute, that's totally my vanity once I move into my house.

The second what I love Wednesday has the passport/travel pack and that is just too cute! Also a great idea when getting ready for travel abroad! Keep all your paperwork and indie neatly tied up! Then the pretty simple anchor pic and the ocean Lilly print because well I love nautical anything and everything. The mason jar painting is going to be in my new room by my vanity I think, every room needs some flowers in a mason jar in my not-so-humble opinion(; that home on the lake is just perfection, it is my goal in life to have a second home on a lake near a ski resort so in the winter we can vacation to ski and snow board and in the summer we can vacation to swim and water ski and sun bathe. When I say we I mean my two kids and amazing husband... What can I say I dream big :P and the. That quote about girls being late from Catcher in the Rye, oh Holden *dies* need I say more?

Then for thoughtful Thursday look at all that Lilly love! Loving that back pack too. Now I know prom has nothing to do with studying but it is school related and Starbucks is the place to study in my opinion. So that completely justifies that adorable idea for thoughtful Thursday! If a boy asked me to any dance that way I'd melt. It was cute and thoughtful and intimate. I mean there's no need for a marching band or a megatron or a blimp. Just something sweet and thoughtful and I'm a happy girl.

Then for fitness Friday I've recently been running on a treadmill rather than outside and to my surprise I like it better. I can see how many calories I'm burning and how far I've gone easily so it makes me push myself harder. It's not for everything but I recommend trying it. I have those exact shorts except with pink and white and gray and instead of my initials it's the Texas A&M logo. I love them! I am needing new running shoes... I'm thinking any of those color combos would make working out that much better!

So I'm gonna confess I haven't eaten healthy really lately because I'm in a hotel, I mean I don't always eat super early by but usually I'm trying healthy recipes all the time. Sadly hotel living doesn't permit this. Oh well Tuesday we move in! Only a few more days! Woo hoo!

Have a lovely Labor Day weekend! Stay beautiful!

XOXO,
GITGB

Too Fab Tuesday: Falltastic

Fall will be upon me any day! By the end of next week it'll be in the 70s back home it's gonna be 90s... See why I'm happy?

With fall comes decor, pumpkin... Everything, Halloween consumes, sweaters, yummy hot beverages, reading by cracking fires, football, and of course homecoming. With all that comes a major change in wardrobe. With summer spring outfits there isn't much change but for fall you go from shorts and tanks to jeans and boots and scarves. I love this change. I love summer for the freedom but I mean who doesn't love pumpkin lattes? And crackling fires?

So here are some outfits, one for a colder climate like mine now or warmer one like I was in.

First photo:
Upper right: plaid is a staple. Must have it. So are some rain boots. Throw a scarf and sweater over a button down with some boots and insta cute and cozy!

Upper left: love the layering of a neutral canvas coat with a chunky sweater and some leggings. Cute bun and ponytail and off to the pumpkin patch.

Middle: this is great for taking leaves or going to a bonfire. A cute Henley with a quilted vest and some duck shoes your toes will stay warm even when trekking though wet grass.

Lower middle: quilted coat=staple. Warm & cute.

Right lower: that pea coat is to die for! With some classic boots and a white sweater you're set for some lunch and semi casual dinner! Maybe with the BF's fam? Haha who are we kidding I'm forever single.

Left lower: love. The pea coat with the jean top and floral scarf & leg warmers is warm cozy and casual, school, decorating, dinner, pumpkin patch, you're good!

Second Pic
Upper left: similar to the left lower of the last but a little better suited for warmer fall weather. The jean shirt and floral scarf are very versatile, definitely a new staple.

Upper middle: stripes and mustard. Perfection! Rolled jeans and flats scream a mild fall, in other word this will be me next week. It's so easy and classic I just love it.

Upper right: teal tunic and dark leggings with boots. I'll certainly be wearing this. T

Lower left: l am not usually a tribal print girl but I do love this slouchy shirt and those boots. Easy comfy, apple picking anyone? Do people do that? I hope so...

Lower right: a variation of the other stripes and mustard, love it.

So I hope these provide you with as great of ideas as its provided me!

So please please please help me out guys I need a Halloween costume that's just cute and simple! I'm not going to be going out or anything just handing out candy!

Stay beautiful and watch for a change in the leaves!

Love,

GITGB

Fitness Friday

I want to try to make those little muffins but honestly I'm not so sure if a no fat no sugar muffin is going to be all that great?

Here's the recipe if you want to try it: http://shrinkingjeans.net/2010/11/taste-of-the-sisterhood-oatmeal-applesauce-muffins/

That tank top is so cute! I mean who doesn't love Elle Woods?

Here is where to get it: http://www.lookhuman.com/design/18929-exercise-gives-you-endorphins

The smoothie is to die for! I have been having it for breakfast everyday (before I left Cali) and wow, it's my new favorite. It's a spoon full of peanut butter (for protein) one banana (frozen makes it thicker but it is fine not frozen, if you freeze it peel it first!) and about a third cup of skim milk. Blend together then add maybe about a quarter to a third cup of crushed ice then viola! It's a delicious and protein and vitamin packed breakfast that keeps you full for a good couple of hours.

That guide for running shoes is great! I am an avid runner, I run varsity track for my High school and run on my own. So I know the importance of good shoes! My favorites are my asics but they are on there last leg so I'm in the market.

This was a pretty bare post, I haven't gotten to work out all week so I couldn't post any workouts really and my whole kitchen is packed into boxes ): so no cooking for me. The next two weeks might be a little bare since I'll be living in a hotel until we can move into our new home. Bare with me please!

Have a great weekend, stay beautiful!

Oh Autumn how I love thee...

If these autumn photos are not enough to make you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy you must have the emotional range of a teaspoon! (If you get that reference I love you!) I used to live in sunny California. Though we had hot summers and mild winters we didn't have fall or spring and it was sad. Though it got so foggy I sometimes couldn't see more than two lines on the road in front of my car it never got below 50 during the day and we never got pretty crisp fall. So now that I'm in Colorado I get fall! It's going to be 20 degrees cooler here on the first day of school at it is back in Cali. This is one thing I am extremely happy for due to the move, I mean we get real seasons!

The other thing I'm so excited for is Halloween and thanksgiving! We used to live in the sticks which I loved for certain reasons but we never got trick or treaters and no one ever saw our decorations ): which I loved to put up. So this year we have a big corner house right by the park! So we will have tons of tick or treaters!! I can't wait to brew some chai tea and make some pumpkin bread and dress up as something really classy and cute and hang out and hand out candy. Who wouldn't love that. I might even dress up my Australian Shepherd, Kane, as a pumpkin or some thing. Haha yeah I'm that girl :P well I should get to bed, first day of junior year tomorrow at a new school, here goes nothing!

Stay beautiful! Oh and good luck with the start of school XOXO

Love,
GITGB

PS anyone have any good pumpkin bread recipes? Or any good ideas for Halloween costumes for me (or Kane even haha)

Motivational Monday: Today is the Day!

So today is my first day at a new school, well maybe I'm currently working with admissions. I might start tomorrow. I love the cape diem quote so I did some seize the day type quotes and some change quotes.

I hope your week is great! Remember, seize everyday and let go of the past, you can't change it!

Stay beautiful!

Too Fabulous Tuesday: Big, Beautiful, Bling

Hey y'all I hope your Tuesday is going well! I gathered up some photos of somethings I absolutely loved form Pinterest.

Look at that arm candy, bows, infinity, and anchors. What isn't to love?

Again, look at that bling, its a cute sparkly bow! I'm a big time bow girl, add some sparkle and it's perfection.

I could never pull these off however I admire all that can, they are gorgeous for the correct occasion. Couldn't you see Serena from Gossip Girl wearing those?

Okay her hair is amazing. It's huge (a little too big for day to day in my opinion but still, amazing) and curly, and has a bow! Gosh if I could get my hair to go that...

I hope y'all enjoyed these as much as I did!

Motivational Monday!

The first post for the relaunch of GITGB: Motivational Monday!

With so much change coming my way I've been collecting some change-related quotes. I've been trying to develop the frame of mind that change is a good thing and to seize it because it's full of opportunities!  So, here are the first quotes I've found that have the "when opportunity knocks, answer the door!"

So there they are! "Bloom where you are planted" isn;t that adorable?

So stay happy and beautiful lovelies!

Love,

GITGB

P.S. answer that door well dressed with a smile!

I'm back!

Hello everyone, so GITGB has been a bit... Doormat lately and I apologize! This whole dead blog thing just will not do. So, think of this has a blog make over and the relaunch of Girl in the Green Breeches (perhaps I should purchase a pair of those now? Heehee)

So that I actually have ideas to post, in true "me" fashion I am making a schedule for GITGB!

Mondays: Motivational Monday!
I will post cute motivational sayings and speeches and videos, really anything to give you a good pick me up for the start of the week. Everyone knows Mondays suck.

Tuesdays: Too Fabulous Tuesdays!
OOTDs and other adorable things I find due to my unhealthy obsession with tumblr and pinterest.

Wednesdays: What I Love Wednesday!
This will be photos I accumulate over the course of the week on a mood board. Every Wednesday I'll upload it and write about it!

Thursday: Thoughtful Thursdays!
These will be everything school related! So from organization to bad teacher stories, I'll post on Thursdays.

Friday: Fitness Friday!
I am a health/fitness junkie. I of course ride horses (During the summer 6-7 days a week, during the school year 5-6) but I also am and avid runner and I have recently been teaching myself to cook (yikes...) and have gotten into healthy cooking. So every Friday I'll find a recipe and a workout (or something of the sorts) and post about it!

Saturday: Saddle Style Saturday!
Riding OOTDs and any cute horse related trends I find over the week.

Sunday:
Not sure, this will be the day open for whatever, sometimes I'll blog sometimes I won't. Sunday Surprise?

So I hope you appreciate the cheesiness of all these just awesome names (; it took all my creative thinking to dream them up haha!

I will post OOTDs as much as possible... I didn't designate a day for just them because I don't exactly plan what days I dress OOTD worthy or that I can get pictures.

What brought on the change? Well I missed posting and I really wanted to help motivate people because I am going through a huge change in my life and have been learning how to stay positive and healthy in rough times.

I am going to be a junior in high school and I am moving to a new state in three days, arriving only a day before the start of school. I do not know anyone at all where I'm going except for my new trainer, but it's a new chapter and I have been working on learning to seize all opportunities. I'd love to share the experience.

So beauties, keep your chins up, smiles on, and know you can handle anything and everything that comes your way!

Love,

GITGB

P.S. XOXO!
